Plexicushion

Plexicushion is a surface that can be used under a Plexipave Netball or Tennis surface to enhance performance by reducing muscle fatigue. The cushioned surface enables players to play 'on' the surface rather than 'in' the surface.

The outstanding shock absorbing features of Plexicushion provide the player with a firm surface to play on, reducing the risk of pulling muscles or twisting ankles. Unlike most other conventional surfaces, Plexicushion is less traumatic on joints, making it a better health alternative for players of all ages to play on.

Plexicushion offers exceptional traction as well as accurate bounce encouraging high performance. There are three kinds of Plexicushion surfaces that cater to different budgets and requirements.

  • Plexicushion Prestige - The original cushioned surface comprised of SBR and EPDM rubber granules, compressed plastic particles and special minerals bound by water based polymers.
  • Plexicushion Tournament - Identical in design to the industry favourite Prestige system, however it is affordably constructed by removing one layer of base coat.
  • Plexicushion Competition - New cushioned surface system combining the force reduction Plexitrac system, with the consistency of Plexicushion. The ideal unified surface for indoor and warm-weather climates.

Plexicushion is made from environmentally friendly products that provide a consistent bounce, sure footing and shock absorption for players. Plexicushion can be suited to your budget and surface requirements due to the multi-layered EPDM rubber cushioning.

Customisation

As every venue is subject to its own unique requirements Plexipave can be customised to suit climatic conditions, environmental circumstances as well as clientele needs and expectations.

All Plexipave products can be applied over asphalt, concrete or used to upgrade existing acrylic surfaces; thus protecting the underlying surface.

The number of layers determines the desired effect; for instance the addition of Plexicushion underlay would offer greater comfort to the player, by reducing body impact and muscle fatigue often felt in players' ankles and feet.

The system of layers is engineered to provide a smooth surface that encourages optimum performance as Plexipave can be adjusted to determine a desired speed of play.

Lastly, coloured acrylic line paint is applied to produce non-glare lines providing the finishing touch to a track or court.

Durability

Plexipave products are made of a seamless surface that is free of joins and weak spots that can make other surfaces vulnerable to deterioration and weather.

The surface itself has the ability to breathe without losing its bond to the original surface beneath, and the coating is UV stable, making Plexipave products truly resilient to rain and sun.

In comparison to other court and track options Plexipave is low-maintenance and economical as it can be resurfaced without the cost of having to remove the old surface.

Installation

All of Plexipave New Zealand products are supplied and installed by a team of professionals. These specialists belong to a network of international agents who share a mutual commitment to quality and customer service. This ensures that every surface is engineered to suit any specific requirements and that every installation runs as smooth as our product.
